The Global Trade Point Network is a component of the Trade Efficiency Initiative launched by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in 1992. The main objectives are to reduce transaction costs in international trade and to encourage the participation of new players in international trade, particularly small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

Kafr El Sheikh International Trade Point (K.I.T.P) is a governmental organization under Minstry Of Foreign Trade Industry.

K.I.T.P is apart of UNCTAD Global Trade Point Network that currently links According to the latest statistics over 120 Trade Points distributed in 90 countries throughout the world via the Internet, to exchange business opportunities and to co-operate in trade development.

K.I.T.P was established on 20 September 1998. Kafr El Sheikh Governrate was chosen to have a trade point because its variety economical ability, so that Kafr El Shiekh Trade Point focuses its efforts to serve Kafr El Sheikh Governrate, and in the same timeproviding its services to many neighbor Governrates

	Promotion for Egyptian products via global Network , exhibitions & E.catalog.
	Providing companies with Trade , investing & services opportunities via WTPFNet and other Net sites.
	Reducing the transaction costs by offering the available trade information (trade facilities).
	Increasing & activating the awareness about the access of e-commerce applications.
	participating in (Domestic & int'L ) conferences & forums to promote for the Egyptian products and find out new markets for the Egyptian exports.
	Activating & strengthening trade relations between the Arabian & Global TPs.
	Providing and offering the free- charged services specially for businessmen communities.
